Lt. Col. Dr. Asanka Pallewatta

Dr. Asanka, a PhD holder in nanotechnology, boasts a diverse research and academic background. Having earned his bachelor's and master's degrees in Japan (in Japanese medium) and completing his PhD in Denmark, he possesses expertise in Nanotechnology-based Engineering Applications, Sustainable Energy, Science Diplomacy, Fashion Photography, Sociolinguistics, and Education Pedagogy.

Currently holding the position of senior lecturer (Grade I), Dr. Asanka serves as a consultant in 5S and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM). He has successfully introduced TPM as a professional subject in Technology curricula in Sri Lanka. Leveraging his proficiency in Learning-Centered Education and education pedagogy, he has designed two comprehensive degree programs: BHSc (Hons) in Biomedical Technology and BHSc (Hons) in Health ICT. Remarkably, both programs received UGC approval within one year of their inception.

In addition to his academic achievements, Dr. Asanka is a certified drone pilot. This certification enables him to play a crucial role in integrating drone operations for plantations. He specializes in offering consultations on the utilization of drones for multispectral aerial mapping and spraying applications.

Drawing upon his extensive skill set and knowledge, Dr. Asanka is dedicated to making meaningful contributions to Vivonta Green Tech Consultants Pvt Ltd. His keen interest lies in promoting sustainable practices and harnessing technology to enhance efficiency and productivity within the plantation agriculture value chain.
