Chithra Kirthi Gamini Piyadasa is a male senior research scientist currently residing at 118 Sable wood Rd, Winnipeg, MB, Canada. Born on October 27, 1959, in Colombo, Sri Lanka, he holds a Ph.D. in Instrumentation in laser desorption mass spectrometry from the University of Colombo/Uppsala University, Sweden, completed in 2000.
Dr. Piyadasa has a diverse educational background, including an M.Phil. in atmospheric electricity and thunderstorm physics and a B.Sc. in Physics. He has technical expertise gained from courses in Aeronautical Telecommunications, Navigation Aids, and Electronics from various institutions.
Throughout his career, Dr. Piyadasa has been recognized with numerous awards, including fellowships, a Postdoctoral Fellowship at the University of Manitoba, and an International Invention Award in Switzerland. He holds a patent for precursor ion selection in tandem time-of-flight mass spectrometer.
